Sales Director Diabetes  (m/w/d)

The Director Sales Diabetes & Obesity has the responsibility to build and develop national sales capability in order to reach and exceed sales targets by leading people and allocated resources in compliance with the companys way.
 
Furthermore, as member of the German Management Team, the Director Sales Diabetes is contributing to strategic decision making for the German affiliate to ensure a high performing diabetes sales organisation.
 
Key accountabilities with regard to:
  • Focuses business activities of Diabetes & Obesity sales department in accordance with overall the companys‘ strategy
  • Provide relevant input to goal setting and budgeting
  • Develops a positive relationship with key customers in diabetes business area
 
Nature and scope of main accountabilities:
  • Development of short- and medium-term operational diabetes business plans ensuring that business objectives are met or exceeded
  • Develop, implement and ensure execution of national sales plan based on and aligned with the marketing strategy
  • Ensure engagement, e.g. by coaching efficiently, good performance management and incentive system
  • Collaborate cross functional
  • Facilitating an leading Sales managers meetings on a regular basis in order to enhance communication between company and diabetes market as well as to inform sales managers about diabetes strategy and get their buy-in
  • Work according to Business Ethics procedures
  • Purpose and subject of interaction with internal/external customers and key contacts
  • Be an active member of the local Management Team
  • Ensure KOL management within sales force
  • Interact with key contacts
  • Cross functional working groups in the affiliate
  • Active member in the European Sales Management Team
  • Challenges with regard to innovation and change
  • Monitor and evaluate the business environment and adjust sales plans accordingly
  • Motivate and prepare the sales Force to bring new innovations to the market
 
 
Education requirements    
  • University Graduate with degree in Science, Medicine, Pharmacy or Business
  • Fluent German (ideally native speaker) and English
  • Understanding of different business disciplines including medical and financial aspects and processes
  • Work experience    
  • Pharma industry experience
  • Leadership experience in sales with budget & people responsibility
  • International/ Marketing experience favourable
